Accommodation in Seville is expensive due to the upcoming Europa League final. A Rangers fan wants to avoid the costs with a creative idea and becomes a hit on the internet.

Dating with a difference – a Glasgow Rangers fan is trying to find cheap accommodation for the Europa League final via the dating app Tinder. Creativity that excites the net.

In this year’s Europa League final, Eintracht Frankfurt and Glasgow Rangers will meet. The venue is the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán stadium in Seville. Due to the large passionate fan base of both clubs, the rush for accommodation in the Spanish city is expected to be high.

Not only the now rising airfares are quickly making the wallets of the accompanying football fans thinner, but also the cost of accommodation in Spanish hotels has risen exorbitantly.

This prompted one Rangers fan to give free rein to his creativity. Hoping to find a cheaper way to find a place to stay, 23-year-old Connor created a profile on Tinder.

Rangers fan seeks place to stay via Tinder

Wearing a Rangers jersey and handwriting a message in Spanish, he explained his request to Tinder users: “Good day Madame, my name is Connor and I am a Rangers fan who is in Seville for the final. I am desperately looking for a place to stay.”

Connor went on to explain on one of his many sheets of paper that hotels would cost more than 600 euros and therefore a bed or sofa would be a great help for him to pay for.

Finally, he thanked them and a little cheer for his team was not to be missed: “Thank you very much. Come on Rangers!”

An extremely creative method that is going viral on the internet and is already being compared with another online platform for renting accommodation and is perceived as better, as one internet user amusedly points out.
