Harsh accusation against Miles Bridges: The professional basketball player of the NBA club Charlotte Hornets has been charged with domestic violence and child abuse.
Professional basketball player Miles Bridges of the NBA club Charlotte Hornets has been charged with domestic violence and child abuse. As the responsible prosecutor’s office announced on Tuesday (local time), Bridges is accused of assaulting his wife in front of their two children.
“Children who witness domestic violence are particularly vulnerable, and the impact on them is immeasurable,” said District Attorney George Gascon, who assured that Bridges would be “held accountable for his actions”.
The 24-year-old forward had turned himself in to authorities on 29 June, and the prosecutor said the incidents occurred “around 27 and 28 June”.
After Bridges was released on bail of 130,000 US dollars (about 127,000 euros), his wife Mychelle Johnson posted photos showing injuries to her face and body.
