Renato Sanches will probably leave OSC Lille this summer. In the tug-of-war for the Portuguese, AC Milan now has some big-name competition.
Actually, a transfer of Renato Sanches to AC Milan seemed to be a foregone conclusion – but now there is apparently more movement in the personnel matter.
As first reported by Le10Sport, Paris Saint-Germain is said to have entered the poker game for the former Bayern Munich professional!
According to the report, there have already been initial talks between Sanches’ advisors and the new sporting director Luis Campos, who once guided the Portuguese to OSC Lille.
Renato Sanches: PSG or Milan?
The 24-year-old still has a contract there until 2023, so this summer is the last chance for Lille to generate a transfer fee by selling the midfielder.
Italian media had recently reported an agreement in principle between Sanches and Milan, with only the transfer negotiations with Lille, which were said to be worth around 20 million euros, still to be conducted.
These apparently turned out to be more difficult than expected. The Italian champions do not seem to be completely out of the running, but with PSG, Milan now have a rival that is as attractive from a sporting point of view as it is financially strong.
