Despite his upswing with his first World Championship points, Mick Schumacher still sees the Formula 1 podium as a long way off.

“A podium would be great, of course. But I don’t think we have a chance if it’s a normal race weekend.”

Schumacher (23) had finished in the points for the first time in his second season in the premier class with an eighth-place finish at Silverstone, followed directly by a sixth-place finish in Austria a week later.

“I had a lot of fun,” assured Schumacher, who is positive about possible updates to his Haas car: “I am sure that the upgrades we will bring will take us a bit further forward. And if it doesn’t, we still have a package that runs well.”
