Wimbledon, c of the year, is coming up soon. The grass-court classic will take place without Austrian Dominic Thiem.

Austrian Dominic Thiem will not compete at Wimbledon this year. The US Open champion of 2020 does not yet feel powerful enough for the grass classic, which starts on 27 June.

Thiem (28) made his comeback after a complicated wrist injury at the end of March, but has since lost all seven matches. Most recently, he was eliminated in the first round at the French Open in Paris.

Afterwards, he had a training block on clay in his home country. Thiem, who in the meantime has slipped to 352nd place in the tennis world rankings, now wants to return to the tour in July at the clay court tournament in Baastad.
