The Löwen Braunschweig from the Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) have made an important personnel decision. They are relying on continuity on the sidelines.
The Löwen Braunschweig from the Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) are relying on coach Jesus Ramirez for the long term. The contract with the Spaniard, which originally ran until 2023, was prematurely extended by two more years until 2025. The Lower Saxony team made the announcement on Monday.
Ramirez took over the post last year. The 42-year-old led the club, whose sole shareholder is German international Dennis Schröder, to the top four of the BBL Cup for the first time in ten years.
“It just fits. Jesus identifies 100 per cent with our concept and our club,” said Löwen managing director and sports director Nils Mittmann. Ramirez expressed his gratitude for “the support and trust that Nils Mittmann and Dennis Schröder have shown me. We have to keep working to move our concept forward.”
