Robert Lewandowski goes empty-handed in his third game for FC Barcelona. Nevertheless, the Catalans celebrate a victory.

Robert Lewandowski is still waiting for his first goal in his new FC Barcelona shirt after his third (test) match.

In the 2-0 victory of the Catalans against the New York Red Bull, the Polish striker again went empty-handed.

Instead, Ousmane Dembélé (40th) and Memhis Depay (87th) scored for Barca. With his fourth goal in total on the US tour, former BVB star Dembélé underlined his amazing early form.

Lewandowski, on the other hand, is still finding it difficult to integrate into the collective of his new club. His team-mates around Jordi Alba and Dembélé put the 33-year-old in the limelight several times, but he missed the chances.

In the 73rd minute, the newcomer was substituted for Memhis Depay – who promptly scored the final goal.

The former Bayern star’s next opportunity will be on 7 August, when Barca play their last test match against Mexican club Pumas Unam in Barcelona.
