Lewis Hamilton leaves no doubt about his long-term future in Formula 1.

“We will do another deal,” the record world champion told selected media, including the internet portal “motorsport.com”, in an interview before this weekend’s Mexican Grand Prix. “We will sit down and discuss it in the next few months, I would say. My goal is to continue to be with Mercedes.”

Hamilton’s contract with Mercedes expires at the end of next year. The seven-time world champion moved from McLaren to the Silver Arrows for the 2013 season as Michael Schumacher’s successor. Most recently, the 37-year-old Englishman had announced in a conversation with team boss Toto Wolff that he had another five years in Formula One in him.
“I love what I do”

“I have a lot of business going on. I have a lot of successful, really positive things going on, and a lot of opportunities for success outside. But I want to keep racing. I love what I do. I’ve been doing it for 30 years and I don’t feel like I should stop,” Hamilton stressed. He plans to “stay here longer.”
