At Manchester City, Erling Haaland wants to climb the next step on his career ladder. Coach Pep Guardiola is to become a special piece of the puzzle.

Erling Haaland is full of anticipation regarding his new challenge at Manchester City.

The former Dortmund player hopes that working with coach Pep Guardiola will have a positive effect on his own performance.

“When you see how the players develop under him, it’s a big thing,” the former BVB star told the Manchester Evening News.

The Norwegian striker particularly likes the way the reigning Premier League champions perform and impose their system of play in every situation.

“This is the football I wanted to be a part of. I had a good feeling about it and that’s why I wanted to come here,” Haaland stressed.

‘I’m at the beginning of my career’

Although the shooting star already had an excellent tally of 86 goals in 89 appearances during his two-and-a-half years at BVB, the goalscorer, who is only 21, has shown a willingness to learn and wants to benefit from Guardiola’s factor.

“I think he can contribute a lot. I am at the beginning of my career at ManCity, but there are different things he can teach me,” he said, in the same vein praising the positive atmosphere that prevails at the Skyblues.
