Luka Jovic scores four goals on his Fiorentina debut. The former Real striker scored more in one game than in his entire time at Real.
Luka Jovic has hardly been out of the Real Madrid jersey when he starts scoring again – and against an opponent who is also Real!
In his first game with his new club, AC Florence, the former Frankfurt player scored four goals. In Fiorentina’s 7:0 win against Real Vicenza, Jovic scored from the penalty spot (56th), from close range (68th), with a header (79th) and after a beautiful cross (84th minute).
Fun fact: Jovic scored more times in one game than in two and a half years with Real Madrid. There, the centre-forward scored a meagre three goals in competitive matches, and in his 36 La Liga appearances he was usually only allowed on the pitch for a few minutes.
Jovic also failed to score another goal for the Royals in the cup competitions and even in friendlies.
Real must continue to pay for Jovic
The Serb striked for Eintracht Frankfurt between 2017 and 2019 and won the DFB-Pokal with the Hessians in 2018. He returned to Frankfurt on a six-month loan in 2021.
