Is a move for Neymar on the cards? Newcastle star Joelinton is tempting the superstar and has already secured him a coveted shirt number.

After Thiago Silva, another football star is now joining the Neymar transfer debate.

After five years, the future at Paris Saint-Germain is becoming increasingly uncertain for the Brazilian superstar. According to various media reports, the French capital club is no longer averse to selling the 30-year-old.

Number 10 reserved for Neymar

Newcastle striker Joelinton publicly courted the services of his compatriot on the Cast-FC podcast: “We can get him a place. (…) Ney, if you’re listening to this, you can come!” the 25-year-old told hopefuls, going into raptures. “The man is an idol, big in world football, so the invitation has been made.”

The ex-Hoffenheim man went one step further, joking that even teammate Saint-Maximin was ready to cede his, football’s most coveted jersey number: “The 10 jersey is waiting for him.”

Newcastle United supporters would probably also be delighted with the signing of such a superstar. However, the transfer fee and Neymar’s substantial salary are major hurdles for potential buyers. However, due to the takeover of a Saudi Arabian state fund, such a transfer would be financially feasible for the Magpies.
