Cristiano Ronaldo could leave Manchester United after just one year. An ex-club is said to be at the top of his list.

Manchester United are planning a major shake-up next summer in order to return to the top of the league.

The new coach Erik ten Hag wants to rejuvenate the team and implement his playing philosophy. Therefore, a prominent player might want to leave the club again.

Cristiano Ronaldo is considering a move. The reason given by the newspaper is the unclear role of CR7, as ten Hag probably does not want to give the star striker a guarantee of deployment.

Will Ronaldo return to Real Madrid?

His possible destination is also said to have already been determined. The Real Madrid management would welcome Ronaldo with open arms because they know that he is a goal-scorer for their team.

He is even said to be at the top of the list for the royals, as a transfer of Kylian Mbappé seems to have become a distant prospect. Paris Saint-Germain are offering their striker around €179 million in hand money if he extends his contract.

Ronaldo, who still has a contract until 2023, is said to cost just under twelve million euros in transfer fees. However, a decision has not yet been made, especially as there are still to be talks between the Portuguese and his new boss.
