Ajax Amsterdam has aroused the interest of FC Bayern. There have already been reports of three professionals who are being watched by the club – now another player is allegedly being added.
He could be the fourth Ajax Amsterdam professional to move to FC Bayern München in the summer: Jurrien Timber. According to “Sport Bild”, the defender is being watched by the record champion. Timber, who is only 20 years old, has impressed the club’s scouts.
The defender is the fourth player from the Dutch club who is currently being linked to the Munich club. Previously, there were reports that Noussair Mazraoui and Ryan Gravenberch were on Bayern’s books. Talks with right-back Mazraoui are said to be very far advanced. In the case of midfielder Gravenberch, who was trained in the Ajax talent academy and passed through the club’s youth system, details regarding the transfer fee are still to be clarified.
Bayern is also said to have contacted Haller’s advisor
In addition, Bild reported that Bayern are said to have contacted the advisor of striker Sébastien Haller (read more here). Haller has been under contract with Ajax since January 2021.
Fact: Centre-back Niklas Süle will leave the club in the summer, moving to Borussia Dortmund. Freiburg defender Nico Schlotterbeck, who is being courted by Bayern, is also currently being linked with BVB.
In addition, it is unclear whether the German record champions will even bring in a central defender. According to reports, coach Julian Nagelsmann is also prepared to deploy Benjamin Pavard primarily in the centre of defence in future. If the transfer budget for the central defence is released, Timber would be a candidate.
