Gareth Bale has not played for Real Madrid for quite some time. Now his advisor has announced the 32-year-old’s departure.
Gareth Bale’s time at Real Madrid is coming to an end. The Welshman is no longer used under coach Carlo Ancelotti, and the 32-year-old is also often criticised by fans.
Now his advisor Jonathan Barnett confirmed in an interview with Deportes Cuatro that Bale will leave the club on a free transfer in the summer: “He deserves a good send-off from the club,” said the advisor of the former most expensive player in the world. He added that the Welshman “has not yet made a decision for the future.”
In addition to the Spanish media, Barnett also didn’t leave a good mark on the fans: “In the next 20 years, the fans will see how good Bale was and they will regret it.”
Bale, he said, “has nothing left to prove to the fans. He hasn’t done anything wrong. He’s a quiet guy who doesn’t want to talk to the press, he just wants to play football. Why should he explain himself?” the 72-year-old asked.
However, Barnett stressed that the relationship with club officials was “very good”. Real president Florentino Pérez had been “very loyal and supportive”.
In addition, the Spanish press has always claimed that Bale does not speak Spanish.
But this is not true, as Barnett explained: “It happens that people who don’t know him claim this. Stupid and ignorant people who have not spoken to him. It is a disgrace. He has been very comfortable in Madrid, he came here at a young age, his children were born here, he donated a lot of money to Spanish hospitals during the Corona pandemic and he loves the city and the club. I think it’s the parasites who are talking badly about him.”
